The Wolfman (2010)

TITLE: The Wolfman

DIRECTOR: Joe Johnston

CAST: Benecio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, Emily Blunt, Hugo Weaving, Art Malik and Geraldine Chaplin

PLOT: Remake of 1941 classic with some plot changes. Lawrence Talbot returns to his family home in Wales after living many years in America. He is attacked by a werewolf and discovers a family secret.

FUN FACT: This is Benicio Del Toro’s second time playing a “wolfman”. His very first feature film role was that of a “dog-faced boy” in Pee Wee Herman’s Big Top Pee-wee (which its music was also scored by Danny Elfman).

140-CHARACTER MINI-REVIEW: Brilliant special effects, makeup and production but fails to live up to expectations – all the coolness is dogged by awkwardly written script and story
