Britain's X-traordinary Files

Britain's X-traordinary Files examines official British records relating to paranormal claims, unexplained incidents and persistent historical mysteries. David Clarke draws on files from The National Archives and other collections, including reports investigated by military intelligence, government agencies, the police and the Royal Navy. The evidence is presented through archival documents alongside contextual research rather than treated as proof of supernatural events.

Among the cases discussed are the Angels of Mons, the Solway Spaceman photograph, the Loch Ness Monster, phantom helicopters and the fate of the Mary Celeste. Clarke also considers official interest in mediums, dowsing, remote viewing and alleged secret weapons, showing how institutions recorded, investigated or sometimes exploited extraordinary claims across modern British history.
