Jack the Ripper and the Maybrick Family

About this book

Covell examines the Maybrick family, the death of James Maybrick and the controversy surrounding a purported Jack the Ripper diary and watch. Contemporary press accounts and primary material inform an investigation into the family’s connections with Hull and a doctor associated with Whitechapel. The book considers these links within the continuing debate about the diary’s claims.
