Secret Black Country

About this book

Andrew Homer explores lesser-known episodes from the Black Country’s history, combining royal visits and industrial heritage with darker local stories. Accounts include the nineteenth-century robbery and murder associated with Fir Tree Hill and the death of Dorothy Beaumont, whose ghost is said to haunt Dudley Castle. This illustrated survey places those unsettling traditions within a broader portrait of the region.
