Paranormal Encounters on Britain's Roads

Peter A. McCue examines reported paranormal incidents on Britain’s roads, grouping accounts around recurring themes and possible geographical hotspots. Among the locations considered are the A75 and B721 in southern Scotland, alongside the Blue Bell Hill area of Kent.

The cases include phantom vehicles, apparent collisions with apparitions, phantom hitch-hikers, black dogs, mystery big cats and UFO sightings. McCue also considers reports of missing time, unexplained vehicle breakdowns and incidents in which drivers or passengers seemed to have shifted through space or time.
