Ancient Legends Retold: The Seat Perilous

At the centre of these Arthurian retellings stands the Seat Perilous, the vacant chair at King Arthur’s Round Table. Reserved for the knight worthy of attaining the Grail and restoring the land, it destroys anyone who claims it without deserving the place. Bernard Kelly and June Peters follow several less familiar knights as they leave the court to prove themselves through perilous quests.

Their adventures lead into an uncanny landscape populated by submerged maidens, shapeshifting hags and the Queen of the Wasteland.
