Ghost-Hunter’s Casebook

Ghost-Hunter's Casebook

About this book

Ghost-Hunter's Casebook revisits the career and investigations of Andrew Green, a prominent British ghost-hunter active for around sixty years. Known as the ‘Spectre Inspector’, Green examined hundreds of reported hauntings and recorded both celebrated cases and incidents with more ordinary explanations.

Among the material discussed is the reported Battersea poltergeist girl, alongside accounts drawn from Green’s long career in psychical research. Bowen Pearse also brings together further research and reports that had not previously appeared in print, using Green’s writings, private papers and cases the investigator had described to him. The result is a casebook focused on how hauntings were reported, investigated and sometimes reassessed, rather than presented as unquestioned supernatural fact.
