Ghosts of the North East

Rob Kirkup surveys reported hauntings across Durham, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, and Teesside. Accounts associated with Newcastle's Castle Keep, Durham Castle and Chillingham Castle connect local ghost traditions with the histories of their settings. Illustrated throughout, the book introduces the region's supernatural reputation through stories of apparitions and other unexplained experiences attached to historic places.
