Haunted Liverpool 1 gathers reported ghost stories and other strange encounters from Liverpool and the wider Merseyside area. Tom Slemen draws on accounts sent to BBC Radio Merseyside’s Billy Butler Show, presenting local testimony alongside older tales attached to the city’s streets, buildings and landmarks.

The cases include visions on Harrington Street, Bernie with the broken neck, the Grey Lady of Grove Street and appearances linked to Spring-Heeled Jack. Other accounts concern Albert Dock, Rodney Street, Walton Jail, Wellington Avenue and a haunted fire station.
