Haunted Liverpool 13 gathers Tom Slemen’s accounts of reported paranormal incidents, sinister traditions and unexplained happenings linked to Liverpool and the wider North West. Its stories range from a creature said to use mirrors while stalking residents of a Toxteth flat to alleged spirits attempting to harm two women in Everton.

The collection also covers the feared Lily White Boys, a supposed coven of Liverpool witches, and a West Derby woman who reportedly saw names in an obituary column before those people died. Elsewhere, Slemen recounts claims involving a werewolf aristocrat, a supposed zombie sent after a wealthy 1930s magnate, and two out-of-work actors whose 1960s detective impersonation led to a disturbing discovery.
