Paranormal Perthshire

Paranormal Perthshire gathers reports of unexplained events and enduring supernatural traditions from across Perthshire. Geoff Holder examines claims of big cats and UFOs, alongside local stories involving fairies, ghosts, witches and other strange occurrences. The material draws on both documented reports and traditions rooted in the county’s communities and landscape.

Among the better-known cases are the Fairy Rock, said to have halted a housing development, and Ballechin House, the scene of a notorious Victorian haunting controversy. The book also considers Maggie Wall, a monument associated with witchcraft lore. Together, these accounts present Perthshire as a place where folklore, local memory and paranormal claims frequently overlap.
