TITLE:  Alien

YEAR RELEASED:  1979

DIRECTOR:  Ridley Scott

CAST: Sigourney Weaver, Tom Skerritt, John Hurt, Veronica Cartwright, Harry Dean Stanton and Yaphet Kotto

PLOT:  A mining spaceship, on its way, is alerted to a suspected SOS so lands on a planetoid. However, when it gets there it finds more than it bargained for.

FUN FACT: The models had to be repainted every evening of the shoot because the slime used on-set removed the acrylic paint from their surfaces.

140-CHARACTER MINI-REVIEW: “In space, no one can hear you scream” but you’ll be screaming with this terrifying sci-fi horror classic
