Paranormal Dundee

Paranormal Dundee gathers reports, legends and historical oddities from Dundee and Angus, ranging from witchcraft and UFO sightings to alleged Big Cats. Geoff Holder also examines darker Gothic material, including a man who claimed to be Jack the Ripper, local connections to the genesis of Frankenstein and the 1912 Broughty Ferry ‘vampire’ murder, where a carving fork offered a more mundane explanation.

Other accounts include a man found alive inside the famous Tay Whale, a Dundee woman said to have become queen of a cannibal tribe and an outbreak of modern zombies. More than 50 archive and contemporary illustrations accompany these stories, which span folklore, Forteana, crime and reports of unexplained events.
