Paranormal Glasgow

Paranormal Glasgow gathers reported hauntings, strange experiences and supernatural traditions associated with Scotland’s largest city. Geoff Holder covers contemporary ghosts and historical hauntings alongside UFO sightings, big-cat reports, time slips, spontaneous human combustion, bizarre beliefs and urban legends.

The book also examines Glasgow’s witchcraft trials, the 1954 Gorbals vampire scare, when hundreds of schoolchildren searched for a supposed monster with iron teeth, and the story of John Scott, the Glasgow Fasting Man. These accounts place local folklore beside claims of extraordinary experiences, with more than 50 photographs supporting the book’s survey of Glasgow’s paranormal history.
