Alien Dawn: An Investigation into the Contact Experience

Alien Dawn examines documented reports of UFO sightings and alleged contact experiences, while placing them alongside a wider range of anomalous claims. Colin Wilson considers poltergeists, lake monsters, ancient folklore and time slips, suggesting that these subjects may illuminate one another rather than standing as isolated mysteries.

The investigation also considers out-of-body experiences, mystical awareness and claimed psychic travel to other worlds. Wilson weighs accounts of alien encounters against allegations of worldwide government cover-ups, then develops a theory connecting these varied reports. The result is an exploratory study of how apparently unrelated experiences might relate to broader questions about consciousness, perception and the nature of reality.
