Angus Folk Tales gathers legends from across the county, from Dundee and the Sidlaw Hills to Strathmore, the Angus glens and the coast. Erin Farley brings together stories of Caterans, Jacobite escapes, pirates, kelpies, broonies, fairies and ghosts, rooted in the places where people told them.

The collection also considers wells and saints, Pictish stones and souterrains, hidden treasures, Glamis Castle and memorable local characters. Farming, weaving, jute work, music, song, poetry and Traveller traditions form part of the cultural background, showing how folklore grows from landscape, labour and history.
