Dark Spirits: Monsters, Demons & Devils

Dark Spirits: Monsters, Demons & Devils gathers reported encounters, folklore and historical accounts involving malevolent beings. Richard Estep ranges from Scotland’s Loch Ness Monster and the Yeti of Asia to vampires associated with Transylvania and England, while also examining alleged possession, curses, hexes and darker forms of spirit communication.

The book places supernatural claims beside stories of human cruelty, including Salem witch-trial executions and accounts of people pursued beyond death. Other subjects include the alleged deal with the devil at Dozmary Pool, Ronald Hunkeler, the Ammons demon house, and possible connections between serial killers and occult beliefs. Monsters, aliens and sinister legends broaden the collection beyond any single tradition or explanation.
