Scotland's Ghosts and Apparitions brings together more than 100 tales associated with Scottish ghosts, apparitions and other reported mysteries. Terence W. Whitaker distinguishes between figures belonging to folklore, familiar through tradition but not necessarily witnessed, and accounts of encounters with ghosts described to him at first hand.
