The Little Book of Welsh Landmarks

The Little Book of Welsh Landmarks brings together around 300 Welsh sites, ranging from Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) and the Wales Coast Path to castles, cathedrals, bridges, beaches and prehistoric monuments. Mark Rees covers places celebrated for their scenery, architecture, history and cultural importance, while also drawing attention to lesser-known landmarks across the country.

The book includes the Gower Peninsula, the United Kingdom’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, as well as the castles of Caernarfon, Conwy, Harlech and Beaumaris, St Davids Cathedral and locations associated with King Arthur and the Mabinogion. Its entries combine concise historical detail with folklore, local traditions and the stories attached to Wales’s landscapes.
