Twin Telepathy: The Psychic Connection

Twin Telepathy: The Psychic Connection examines reports that twins, especially identical twins, can share thoughts, sensations, dreams or reactions despite being apart. Guy Lyon Playfair brings together historical cases, personal testimonies and investigations into claims of a special mental link between twins.

The book includes accounts of apparent crisis experiences, interviews with twins and witnesses, and experiments intended to test whether such impressions can be explained by telepathy rather than coincidence, familiarity or ordinary psychological connection. Playfair presents the subject within the history of psychical research, weighing anecdotal evidence and experimental findings while acknowledging the difficulties of testing experiences that are spontaneous, private and difficult to reproduce.
