Irish Ghost Tales

Irish Ghost Tales: And Things That Go Bump in the Night gathers stories from Ireland’s folklore, moving through castles, graveyards and other settings associated with haunting traditions. Tony Locke’s collection includes banshees, warlocks, spectres, poltergeists and the Undead, presenting supernatural accounts rooted in Irish myths and legends.

Among the darker tales are those of a child’s spirit linked to a doll, a vengeful druid said to guard a tomb, and the ghost of a cannibal woman reputed to have eaten children. Locke, a professional storyteller and member of the Storytellers of Ireland, retells these stories with the atmosphere of an oral tradition, supported by illustrations from Gaynor Locke.
