Hexy B*tch

Hexy B*tch is Daisy May Cooper’s memoir of a long-standing fascination with ghosts, spirits, astrology, tea leaves and paranormal activity. It follows her investigations into haunted houses, conversations with people who claim to communicate with the dead, and attempts to make sense of experiences that resist ordinary explanation.

Alongside reports of a coven, past-life regression and an attempted sexual encounter with a ghost, Cooper describes a brush with paganism that turned out to be a front for swinging. The book also draws on her own account of a haunted house and other strange incidents, treating belief, doubt and personal experience with an irreverent comic sensibility. The result is a personal record of paranormal encounters, spiritual experiments and distinctly modern British absurdity.
