Haunted Liverpool 9 gathers reported paranormal incidents from Liverpool’s past and present, combining ghost stories with darker tales of violence, fate and alleged occult activity. The ninth volume in Tom Slemen’s series includes accounts centred on several memorable characters and their disturbing experiences.

Among them are John the hippy, whose story brings death and destruction to his tormentors, and Henry Juvenal, a Victorian devil-worshipper linked with large fires and small children. Another account follows James Thorpe and his fiancée through a love triangle with grisly consequences, while the fortune teller Madame Rosamund predicts a dreadful outcome for Elizabeth. The book also includes “Double Dutch”, a reported doppelganger case set in 1970s Liverpool.
