The Killamarsh Poltergeist
The Killamarsh Poltergeist recounts Hazel and Gary Price’s reported experiences in an ordinary home in Killamarsh, North East Derbyshire. The disturbances began in 2012, when they returned to find their dining room disrupted: fruit had been emptied from a bowl and candles broken, while the candelabra remained standing. Other incidents included a small Chinese rice-wine jar rocking on a unit and a reported flash of light followed by a silhouette in the kitchen.
Steve Higgins presents the Prices’ account alongside possible explanations for what happened, considering both paranormal interpretations and more sceptical ideas. The result is a focused study of a modern Derbyshire haunting, centred on testimony, domestic disturbances and the difficulty of reaching firm conclusions.
