If you like your Halloween with a little more bite than pumpkins and scary movies, Farmaphobia is back.
Set across a working farm, the event makes full use of barns, dark fields, corn mazes and live scare actors to create one huge Halloween attraction.
The Six Haunts
The 2026 line-up covers everything from witches and vampires to zombies, clowns and whatever happens to be waiting in the corn.
- Funhouse Freaks: The clowns are back with a brand new funhouse packed with twisted characters and dark corners.
- Coven: Inspired by the Salem witch trials, Coven imagines the accused witches returning centuries later looking for revenge.
- The Cornjuring: A demonic force has taken hold of the cornfield, with Sister Cornelia waiting somewhere among the rows.
- Slaughter House: The pigs have taken control and humans have suddenly found themselves on the wrong side of the food chain.
- The Crypt: Vampires enter the mix in a dark underground attraction where fresh blood is always welcome.
- Zombie Morgue: Visitors enter one of Farmaphobia’s infamous morgue drawers before discovering what waits on the other side.
Six different themes, and importantly, not six versions of the same haunted maze.
Characters to Keep an Eye Out For
The scares do not necessarily stop when you leave the main haunts. Farmaphobia has teased appearances from Art the Clown from Terrifier, Pennywise and the Killer Cat in the Hat, while The Backrooms has also featured among this year’s surprises.
So while moving around the farm, it might be worth keeping an eye on exactly who, or what, is wandering around with you.
Halloween on a Farm
One of Farmaphobia’s biggest strengths is its setting.
Causey Farm gives the event room to spread across barns, fields and countryside rather than keeping everything inside one building.
There is plenty happening between the haunts too. Roaming characters scare visitors and pose for photographs, DJ Spooks keeps the music going, and a large bonfire gives people somewhere to warm up between attractions.
Add smoke, lights, Halloween props, food and live performers, and the result feels more like a Halloween festival than simply a collection of haunted houses.
A Few Things Before You Go
Farmaphobia takes place partly outdoors on a working farm, so boots, old runners or wellies are a better choice than footwear you want to keep spotless.
Some areas can be uneven or muddy, so check the weather before travelling and bring a waterproof jacket if rain is forecast. A hat, scarf and gloves may also be welcome on a colder October night.
The full experience normally takes around two to three hours, and visitors are advised to arrive around ten minutes before their booked time.
Facilities & Accessibility
Causey Farm has toilets on site, including accessible toilets, along with car and coach parking. Food and drink are also available.
Although Causey Farm itself is generally wheelchair accessible, Farmaphobia states that most of the Halloween event is not suitable for wheelchairs. Anyone using a wheelchair or mobility aid should contact the organisers before booking.
The attractions may include loud noises, strobe lighting, darkness and sudden scares. Bags and backpacks are not permitted, although medical bags are allowed.
Tickets and Booking
Tickets must be booked in advance and the event can sell out on busier nights.
Groups of 15 or more receive a €1 discount per ticket, while a €2 booking fee is included in each ticket price.
Selected bus-and-entry packages are also available from Dublin, with pick-up points in the city centre and Blanchardstown.
Farmaphobia is recommended for over 16s, although visitors aged 13 and over can attend. Anyone aged 13 to 15 must have a responsible adult on site.
