Aldwych is one of 40 abandoned underground stations in London. Built in 1907 it is rumoured to be one of the most Haunted stations in all of Britain.
During World War II, the station was used as a bomb shelter for Londoners and because of this Most Haunted team decide to a time slip experiment in hope that this will bring forward some spirits, so the team are dressed in full 1940s attire for this episode.Â
The ghost of a young actress is said to walk the dark, damn passageways and has most often been seen on one of the platforms.
Derek arrives and the team are ready to go!
Derek becomes aware of an actress called Margaret Estelle Bryce who deliberately likes to frighten the cleaners, however no one of this name could be found in any archives connecting to the station, or the theatre on which the station was built. He then picks up on another older female who in death saved a man’s life by touching him and therefore preventing him from walking onto live tracks.
Further on Derek spiritually picks up on a spirit male named Tom who had a seizure in one of the tunnels and in death he still walks the platform.
With lights out, the team are apprehensive to begin their vigil. The deeper they move into the tunnel, the more unnerved they become. Some of the crew believe they saw a shadow move into the wall not far in front of them, however they are unsure whether this is merely their eyes playing tricks on them.
When they reach the platform they hear the motion detector while has been set off from the other side of the platform. It would not have been possible for someone living to set this off and the beam was too high off the ground to have been set off by rats, were are plentiful within the station.
When viewing tapes back, a strange light appears at the top of the screen and numerous orbs are also caught.
This has to have been one of the more mundane episodes of Most Haunted, as that is literally everything that happened!
